Motility Software Idea Board

We Owe and Bank Fee fields the effect gross profit

The current we owe field does not effect gross profit and it should! The reason for a we owe field is to post money against the deal for items promised to the customer, but not available at delivery. This will give an accurate gross profit immediately, so the deal can be posted to accounting.

    Thank you for your idea. Below is a screen shot that will help you with the We Owe field. The We Owe field won't affect the deal's profit but you can put that same amount in the Total Unit Adj field on the S Profit tab. The We Owe will push over to accounting but the Total Unit Adj field will not. They work together in this instance.

    No, that is not the same thing! All that does is lower the commissionable gross! The sales reports and the P & L will show the wrong gross profit. I would like to speak with someone about this.

    Ken I understand what you are saying, but right now the field is only a reference to the $ amount on the We Owe. If you would like add this to our Idea List here is the link below. Thank you for the programming request, we value your input as it helps us create a better product. We recently introduced a new Software Idea Board which will allow you to directly submit your idea and track it as it goes through our review and implementation process. You can also view, comment, subscribe and vote for idea’s that have been submitted by other Infinity users.

    Simply Follow the instructions below to submit your request and to sign up for our Software Idea Board:

    1. Follow the link provided by your Motility Software representative
    2. Click “Add a new idea”
    3. Enter the following information on the New Idea form:
      1. Your idea – One sentence summary of the idea (Required)
      2. Additional details including attachments – Why is it useful, who would benefit from it, how should it work (Optional, but highly recommended)
      3. Support Number – Your Motility Software Support Number (Required)
      4. Module (Optional)
      5. Email address (Required)
    1. Click “Share idea”
    2. You will then receive an automated email stating that your idea will be visible on the portal within the next 24-48 hours.
    3. In order to get updates and notifications on your submitted idea(s) you will have to register and create an Aha! account.
    4. Click “Log in/Sign up” or “Subscribe”
    5. Enter your email address and click “Next”
    6. Enter your First and Last name and click “Sign up”
    7. You will then receive an email link to complete your registration.
    8. Once your idea is approved and published to the community others will be able to vote on your idea and add comments.
    9. You will also be able to track the status of your idea (e.g., Under Review, Planned, Already Exists, Not Approved, etc.)
