NOTIFICATION IF THERE IS ALREADY AN OPEN RO FOR A STOCK UNIT WHEN OPENING A NEW RO WITH THE SAME STOCK NUMBER

OFTEN TIMES WE HAVE WORK BEING PERFORMED ON STOCK UNITS BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD. THESE REPAIRS ARE TYPICALLY MINOR COSMETIC ISSUES THAT WE ORDER PARTS FOR BEFORE THE UNIT IS SOLD. IF THE UNIT IS SOLD BEFORE WE DO THE REPAIRS THE UNIT GETS SOLD WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING PARTS ARE ON ORDER. IF WE HAD A NOTIFICATION THAT THERE IS AN OPEN RO FOR THE STOCK UNIT JUST LIKE THE SYSTEM DOES IF YOU HAVE AN OPEN RO FOR A CUSTOMER, THIS WOULD ALLOW US TO EASILY SEE THAT WE HAVE PARTS ON ORDER

    We can move this request froward but there is also a filter you can use on the open invoice screen to filter for that stock number before you begin a RO as well.

    Thank you, and yes we are aware of this, its just another step that reduces the efficiency of the service writer
